A. Planet Audio debuts new patented Cloth Reinforced Santoprene surround technology in its new line of Big Bang series of components and co-axial speakers. The Cloth Reinforced Santoprene combines the flexibility of Santoprene with the durability of cloth. The new Big Bang series of speakers features a durable, light weight woven glass-fiber cone for optimum mid-bass, an “open design” stamped basket for superior cooling and silk soft dome tweeters for true upper frequency reproduction. Audiophiles agree that the Big Bang series components and co-axials are the best sounding speaker systems they have heard.

B.
Planet Audio debuts new “smooth-rolled” surround on its new line of RX series components and co-axials. The smooth rolled surround eliminates the strain at the point where the cone meets the surround increasing the life span of the speaker while also increasing the cones effective surface area resulting in better bass extension. The RX series of components and co-axials feature poly-injection cones for durability, mylar dome tweeters for crisp, clear highs and custom tooled grilles for total speaker protection.

C. Bluetooth Technology is rapidly becoming important as more states implement stricter laws regarding the use of cellular phones with driving. Planet Audio has taken this technology and incorporated it into two separate head unit models for 2007, the P255BA and the P265IU. The P255BA includes an outboard microphone and dial keypad while the P265IU offers an internal microphone and on-screen caller ID and phone book capability.

D. Long ago are the days of floppy discs, even burning your own CD’s is considered somewhat “old school” these days. Since the advent of the Flash Drive USB mass storage devices and iPod MP3 players, solid state storage devices are the thing to have. Planet Audio has developed several new head units that offer both Flash Drive/USB integration and iPod integration, the P245UA, P255BA and the P265IU.The P245UA and P255BA feature front panel USB ports and front and rear panel AUX inputs for either iPod other MP3 player attachment or video input. The P265IU features a front panel USB port and full iPod control capability (with the purchase of the IPC-40 Integration Cable, sold separately).
